We have been winding down in more ways than one. Firstly a sudden change in the weather seems to be heralding Autumn - a welcome relief in some ways though Summer seems to have just whizzed by in a bit of a whirl. How did that happen? Autumn means a slowdown here at the Mas as our last gite guests arrive this weekend. We have so enjoyed our first season here - it's been a real pleasure to meet so many great people - our welcome dinners have always been fun, often running on late into the evening, and our bottle bank has regularly been overflowing as a result. Slight trepidation about how guests might get along was completely unfounded - it seems a few friendships have been forged. We'll look forward to kicking off again next year but for now it's nice to slow up just a little.
We are winding down too from our recent wedding here at the Mas - it was a very happy family occasion made very special by this great setting and the wonderful Mayor and his team at the Chateau / Mairie in the village - what an incredible venue for a wedding! All good things come to an end though and the festivities are now over. So we took a few hours out this week to walk and relax - a trip to La Roque sue Céze and the Cascades de Sautadet. Brilliant - the pictures say it all.
